The Language Center (NucLi) of UFSCar is the local center of the national program English without Borders (IsF), designed to support the target audience of Science without Borders program.
The language centers have been established in various Brazilian federal universities by the Office of Higher Education (SESu) of the Ministry of Education (MEC), with the support of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes).
NucLi UFSCar is an applicator center of proficiency exams, with several monthly applications TOEFL ITP and also offers a range of English courses, with different themes, such as: conversation and pronunciation, oral practice, reading strategies, development of language skills with focus on social interaction, English for academic purposes, English as an international language in use, preparation for proficiency tests, among others.
In addition to the nationally administered courses, NucLi UFSCar offers the mini course "TOEFL ITP", since this examination is a requirement to sign up in other courses.
All NucLi services are free for undergraduates, graduates, teachers and administrative staff of UFSCar.
The registrations for courses and exams are administered nationally and must be made through isfaluno.mec.gov.br.
